Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was a little overcast, with a light east north-east breeze for most of the day.  It turned to the southeast tonight.  We had a high around 84F.

Avon beach had reports of spanish mackerel, bluefish and sea mullet.  Buxton beach had sea mullet and croakers.  Frisco beach had some sea mullet today.  Hatteras beach had reports of sea mullet, spot, croaker and bluefish.

The inshore fishing was good today.  There were red drum, bluefish, speckled trout and gray trout.  The offshore fleet had good catches of dolphin, some wahoo and blackfin tuna.  The bottomfishing was good too.  They had catches of sea bass, tilefish and triggerfish.  There were quite a few billfish released today.  We’ve got a picture of one dancing for the Tuna Duck crew today.
