Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

Today we had sunny skies with no rain that was in the forecast.  The winds were from the north-east 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.  We are watching a sub tropical low pressure just off the south-east coast of the US.  There is a chance of it becoming our first named storm.   Computer models show it making land fall somewhere between Wilmington and the northern South Carolina coast.

The fishing was a little slower today.  Sea mullet were caught on the Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton and on the Hatteras beach a good bluefish bite was reported.

There is no inshore report today.

The offshore boats had scattered catches of dolphin, yellowfin tuna and wahoo today.
