Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny and warm early with steady rain late in the day.  We had south-west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

Up on the Avon beaches bluefish, sea mullet, croakers and some puppy drum were caught.  The Buxton beaches had bluefish, sea mullet, black drum and puppy drum.  Out at Cape Point some big red drum were caught along with spanish mackerel and bluefish and big sharks too.  Over on the Frisco beach bluefish and sea mullet were reported.  On the beaches in Hatteras and near Hatteras Inlet  nice pompano, bluefish, sea mullet and black drum were caught.

The inshore boats had a decent day catching gray trout and bluefish.  Some spanish mackerel were caught just outside Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats had good gaffer dolphin fishing and some white and blue marlin released.
