Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The day started out storming with winds from the North-East 15-20 mph. Later in the morning the skies cleared and winds calmed down to 5-10 mph.

Windy conditions didn’t stop the fishing from the beach. In Avon the beach fishing was slow but the pier had some sea-mullet and croaker caught. In Buxton there was some pompano and sea-mullet biting. Here in Frisco there was some sea-mullet and croaker were biting. In Hatteras the bluefish, sea-mullet and pompano were biting.

Inshore today there was some really good red drum fishing anywhere from keepers to citation sized caught. Just outside the inlet there was some spanish mackerel and a scattered king mackerel caught.

No Offshore report for today. A few boats went out but the winds brought them back early in the morning.
