Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had light winds and sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-west switching to the south-west at 5 mph.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

Up on the Avon beach there were some pompano and croaker to report.  The Avon pier had some pompano, croaker, bluefish, spot, sea mullet, and spanish mackerel .  Around the Buxton beaches and out at Cape Point there were reports of spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet, bluefish, small flounder and spanish mackerel were caught.  Hatteras reports small flounder, pompano and bluefish.

The inshore boats had lots of Big red drum action today in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite was good around Cape Point in Buxton.

The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo action and a few blackfin tuna bites.  A white marlin was released today.

Today the dolphin were only and few miles out off of Hatteras and pictured below is the charter boat “Adventure” with a nice catch,
