Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was partly cloudy with some light rain early.  The winds were from the north at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches some bluefish, croakers and sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few puppy drum were reported with some sea mullet and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton which is open to 4×4’s now had some decent spanish mackerel and bluefish action.  Over on the Frisco Beach there were spot and sea mullet caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach spanish mackerel, bluefish and a few flounder were caught.

The Inshore boats had good spanish mackerel and bluefish action along the beaches around Hatteras Inlet.  In the Pamlico Sound nice big red drum were caught.

The offshore boats had excellent catches of wahoo with several citations and a few small dolphin and blackfin tuna.   One blue marlin was released.
