Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had mostly sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Around the Avon beaches there were decent catches of sea mullet, bluefish and croakers caught..  The Buxton beaches had some reports of bluefish and sea mullet.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton some spanish mackerel ad bluefish were reported.   The Frisco beach over Ramp 49 had reports of good bluefish catches and a few flounder..   Down on the Hatteras beaches and near the inlet there were bluefish, flounder, some puppy drum and sea mullet reported.

The inshore boats caught more puppy drum and gray trout in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite just outside Hatteras Inlet was good too.

The offshore boats had a nice day on the water with limits of dolphin and wahoo.
