Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies and calm winds.  The winds were from the north north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

Up on the Avon beaches there were reports of puppy drum and bluefish.  On the Buxton beaches bluefish, puppy drum and black drum were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton the puppy drum and bluefish bite was good in the morning and the yearling red drum showed up in the late afternoon.  The Frisco beaches had a few puppy drum, bluefish and sea mullet caught.  On the Hatteras beaches bluefish, a few flounder and pompano were reported.

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and some flounder and bluefish today in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats stayed tied to the dock today.
