Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was nice with sunny skies. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

On the Buxton beaches there were bluefish and puppy drum caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton the big red drum, yearling drum and puppy drum were caught.   Over on the Frisco beach the bluefish bite was scattered.  Down on the Hatteras beach some bluefish, puppy drum, spot and flounder were caught.

The inshore boats had some puppy drum and some good size bluefish caught today in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite was decent just outside Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats had scattered dolphin and blackfin tuna fishing with some decent wahoo catches.  Six sailfish were released today.
