Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was partly sunny and calm with cooler temperatures. The winds were from the west south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

Up on the Avon beaches some red drum and sea mullet were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches there was real good bluefish action and puppy drum caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton lots of bluefish were caught on lures and a few on cut bait.  The yearling drum and puppy drum were caught too.  Over on the Frisco beach some decent bluefish action and a few puppy drum were reported.

The inshore boats had a real good day of speckled trout fishing in the Pamlico Sound.
The offshore boats caught dolphin, blackfin tuna and a few wahoo and king mackerel with good trigger fishing from the bottom.
