Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The weather was much better today even thought it was still cold. The temperature was in the mid 40’s and the wind was still from the north but laid down to 5-10 mph. The clouds and rain moved off and the sun was shining.

Fishing from the beach was slow again today. In Avon there was only sea-mullet caught. In Buxton there was some speckled trout and blues with puppy drum at the point. From the beach in Frisco there was bluefish and blow toads on the south end. In Hatteras the bluefish were the only thing biting.

Offshore today was very slow with just a few boats going out. The king mackerel were biting. From the bottom there was tilefish and amberjack caught.

No inshore reports for today.
