Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

Today was calm with sunny skies  The winds were from the north-west at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 40’s.

On the Buxton beaches some puppy drum and bluefish were caught with scattered speckled trout reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton more sharks and skates were caught.  We did have a report of a 35 lb striper  caught up north somewhere.  Not sure if it was on the island or around the  Nags Head area.

The puppy drum fishing was really good today in the Pamlico Sound near Hatteras Inlet.  No boats fished offshore.   .
