Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was just beautiful on Hatteras Island.  We had light northeast winds this morning, that switched around to the east-south-east this evening.  We reached a high of 65F.

The report from Buxton is blowtoads, sea mullet and puppy drum.  Ramp 49 down to Frisco Pier had sea mullet, blow toads, bluefish and a few puppy drum as well.  Hatteras beaches had some blowtoads and sea mullet.

The inshore boats had quite a few releases of red drum.  One marina reports 36 releases.

The offshore boats had catches of blackfin and yellowfin tunas, a few wahoo, dolphin,  Also some grouper, trigger fish and rose fish.  Pictured below is the Tuna Duck with a nice wahoo.
