Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was another beautiful and sunny day with a little more wind.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures reached 70 degrees.

Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches sea mullet, blow toads and bluefish were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton  lots of sharks and some yearling red drum.  Chances are the Bid red drum are being caught tonight for those who made the trek.   The Frisco beaches had black and red drum caught  Down on the Hatteras beaches some bluefish, sea mullet and blow toads and a few puppy drum were caught.  The picture below is Joe Simons with a nice puppy drum and black drum caught off the Frisco Beach over Ramp 49.  Pretty work Joe.  joe simons drums

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and bluefish.

The offshore fleet caught a mess of black fin tuna, a few wahoo, dolphin and yellowfin tuna.
