Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny with lower temperatures.  The winds were blowing 5-10 mph out of the north-east The temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

It looks like there were sea mullet and puppy drum caught on the Avon, Buxton and Frisco beaches today.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish and sea mullet were caught.

The inshore boats caught gray trout, puppy drum and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had a good day of dolphin and yellowfin tuna.  A few wahoo were reported too.

Today was the first day of the 21 st Hatteras Village Offshore Open.  Seven boats out of 28 fished today.   Their were no billfish released today.  Fishing days are May 13-16th.  .
