Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies. The winds were from the south at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

Up on the Avon beaches there were sea mullet and puppy drum caught.  The fishing was good  from the Buxton beaches today with some nice big skinny blues caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton big spanish mackerel and bluefish and 73 lb cobia were caught.  The Frisco beaches had sea mullet and too much grass.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish, sea mullet and some flounder were reported.

The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and bluefish with some more cobia being caught.

The offshore fleet caught scattered dolphin, blackfin tuna and wahoo with some good trigger fishing off the bottom.  One blue marlin was released.

The picture below is from the “Bite Me” charter boat with a dolphin they caught today.
