Hatteras Island Fislhing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had another beautiful day with sunny skies. The winds were from the south at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches there were sea mullet, bluefish and black drum caught.  On the Buxton beaches there were sea mullet and bluefish caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton the fishing was pretty good.  bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught, big red drum and yearling drum were caught as well as some cobia.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet , pompano and bluefish were reported.

The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and bluefish around Hatteras Inlet.  The puppy drum bite was good in the Pamlico sound.

The offshore fleet caught scattered dolphin and blackfin tuna.  One blue marlin was released. The bottom fishing seemed better today with good catches of snappers and trigger fish.
