Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had partly cloudy skies today, it was a warm one, with a temperature of 85F.  We had winds out of the west this morning for a short period, then it switched to the south-south-west, then the south.

Avon beach had sea mullet and croaker today.  Buxton beach had puppy drum and sheepshead.  Frisco beach had big bluefish.  We weighed a 10lb 1oz in for a member of the Angler’s Club, but no picture.  Hatteras reports sheepshead, pompano and sea mullet.

The inshore boats caught red drum, keepers and oversized.  They also caught gray trout, big bluefish and a few flounder.  The offshore boats had good catches of gaffer and bailer dolphin, along with a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There were also some grouper and triggerfish caught.
