Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was it was hot and muggy here on the island.  It was a nice day to enjoy the beach, fish a little and cool off in the Ole’ Atlantic!  We had a light north breeze this morning, then a light southeast breeze this afternoon.  The temperature was around 89F, felt a lot warmer though.

Avon beach reports a mix of spanish mackerel, bluefish, sea mullet and croaker.  Buxton reports some sea mullet.  Frisaco reports some pompano, sea mullet and bluefish.  There were quite a few sandfleas around, so get your rakes out.  Hatteras reports bluefish, spot, croaker and sea mullet.

The inshore boats caught drum, bluefish, croakers, spot and even  got on some clams.

The offshore boats returned with catches of dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.  A blue and white marlin were released today.  Pictured below is Hatteas Blue with a nice wahoo.
