Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly sunny.  We had south-west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches there were bluefish, croakers and sea mullet reported.  Around the beaches of Buxton only some croakers were reported.  The Frisco beaches had a few pompano caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches croakers, bluefish and sea mullet were caught.

The inshore boats had good red drum releases with some citations in the Pamlico Sound..  The Spanish mackerel bite was good just outside Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats had good blackfin tuna and dolphin fishing today.  Some nice wahoo were reported as well as excellent marlin fishing just in time for the start of the 11th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament July 9th- 11th.
