Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had light north winds in the morning turning south in the afternoon 5-10 mph. The temperature was in the upper 80’s and skies were clear.

From the beach today the fishing was a lot better than it has been. In Avon there was sea-mullet, croaker, bluefish, and spanish mackerel biting. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, pompano, bluefish, and some spot caught. Here in Frisco the bite was great but there was sea-mullet biting. In Hatteras there was pompano, sea-mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel and a few flounder biting.

Inshore today there was some really good red drum fishing.

Offshore today the fishing was great. The dolphin bite picked up today with some boats getting limits. The wahoo, blackfin tuna, and king mackerel bite was scattered. Sailfish were biting great today.
