Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a great day to be on the water. the winds were 5-10 mph from the North-East. Temperatures were in the lower 80’s.

From the beach today the fishing was great. In Avon there was some bluefish and croaker caught. In Buxton the sea-mullet, pompano, and bluefish were biting. Here in Frisco there was some sea-mullet, small flounder, good bite from the pompano, and some puppy drum early this morning. In Hatteras there was some small flounder, bluefish, sea-mullet and pompano were caught.

Inshore today there was a little bit of everything. In the sound there was sea-mullet, spot and a few puppy drum. Just outside the inlet there was some good bluefish and spanish mackerel fishing.

Offshore today was a lot better than it was yesterday.  The dolphin bite was pretty good. The wahoo and blackfin tuna bite was scattered today. There was also a few yellowfin caught.
