Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had scattered rain showers.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches there were spot. coaker and a few gray trout reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few croaker and bluefish were reported.  Over on the Frisco beaches some croakers and yearling red drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches and Inlet area bluefish, spot, puppy drum and a few spanish mackerel were reported.

John Pierson of Wilmington, DE. pictured below with a nice yearling red drum caught over at Billy Mitchell Field here in Frisco on. Cut mullet. Pretty work John.

There was good fishing from the inshore boats today with bluefish and lots of red drum caught in the Pamlico Sound.  Some good spanish mackerel catches were reported outside Hatteras Inlet.

There are no offshore boats out due to the weather.
