Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It wasn’t the greatest weather for a day of fishing but the fish were still biting. This morning we had rain showers the lightened up later in the morning. The rest of the day it was cloudy with scattered rain showers. The temperatures were around 80 throughout the day. Winds were 10-15 mph from the South-West.

From the beach today the fishing was good even with the cloudy rainy day. From the beach in Avon there was some pompano and bluefish caught. From the pier there was spot, spanish mackerel sea-mullet and croaker biting. In Buxton there was bluefish on the beach and puppy drum on the sound side. Here in Frisco there was spot and flounder biting. In Hatteras there was some bluefish, flounder, sea-mullet and croaker caught.

Inshore today there was some good red drum fishing in the morning. The bluefish were biting great again today. In the afternoon there was some good spot and sea-mullet catches.

Offshore today there was a good dolphin bite but the wahoo were scattered. Vermillion snapper, sea bass, and triggerfish were caught off the wrecks and from the bottom today.
