Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had mostly sunny skies today.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches catches of croaker, sea mullet and pompano were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few spanish mackerel, bluefish and pompano were caught. You can access Cape Point in Buxton by foot.  Catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish were reported there today. Down on the Hatteras beaches pompano, croaker, sea mullet, bluefish and some spanish mackerel were caught.

The inshore boats had a good day catching red drum and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite was good outside Hatteras Inlet today.

Offshore today the bailer dolphin fishing was great with limits as well a few wahoo and black fin tuna .  Sea bass and amberjack were caught also. 3 sailfish were released on the “Bite Me” today.
