Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The rain showers are gone. The skies were blue for most of the day with some clouds rolling in later in the day. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s and winds were from the north at 5-10 mph.

Fishing from the beach today was great again. In Avon there was sea-mullet pompano and bluefish from the beach. From the pier there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, croaker sea-mullet and some nice king mackerel. In Buxton there was more spanish and bluefish at the point. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and pompano. From the Hatteras beach there was sea-mullet, pompano, spanish and bluefish near the inlet.

Inshore the bluefish and spanish mackerel are still biting great. A few keeper size flounder were caught today. Only a few big red drum were released today.

Offshore the dolphin fishing was great with bailers and gaffers being caught. The Wahoo were scattered again. We heard of a few billfish sighted but no hook up.
