Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was calm and nice with sunny skies.  The winds were from the  south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches some bluefish, croakers, spot  and sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few puppy drum, spot and sea mullet were  caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton good spanish mackerel and bluefish action on lures.  Over on the Frisco Beach there were spot and spanish mackerel caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano and flounder were caught.

The Inshore boats had good spanish mackerel and bluefish action again along the beaches just outside Hatteras Inlet.  There were even a few dolphin caught near shore.  In the Pamlico Sound more nice big red drum were caught.

The offshore boats had good catches of wahoo with a few citations and good dolphin action with a few blackfin tuna.   One blue marlin was released.
