Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had calm north winds and blue skies. The temperature was in the mid 60’s.

Fishing picked up some today. From the beach in Avon today there was bluefish, sea-mullet blow toads. and puppy drum. From the Pier there was speckled trout, sea-mullet, puppy drum, and bluefish. In Buxton there was blow toads and sea-mullet caught. Here in Frisco there was some speckled trout around the pier along with some sea-mullet. In Hatteras there was a good puppy drum bite as well as some flounder, sea-mullet and black drum bites.

A reminder for all who are looking to drive on the Frisco beaches, tomorrow the National Park Service will open the emergency vehicle ramp next to the Frisco pier for all access.

No inshore report for today.

Offshore the fishing was great. The wahoo and black-fin tuna bite was great. The dolphin bite was scattered. There was also a few billfish released.
