Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly cloudy with light rain.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

Up on the Avon beach there were sea mullet, puppy drum, black drum, blow toads and bluefish reported.   Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet, bluefish, puppy drum and flounder caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton a few Big Red Drum were released and lots of bluefish on metal, some puppy drum and sea mullet too.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and some flounder were reported.

No boats fished inshore today.

A few boats fished offshore and they had excellent wahoo fishing with a few dolphin and blackfin tuna.  There was one sailfish released.

A reminder for all who are looking to drive on the Frisco beaches, the emergency vehicle ramp next to the Frisco pier is now open.
