Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly cloudy with periods of rain.  We had north-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.

Up on the Avon beaches some sea mullet were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches bluefish puppy drum and sea mullet were reported. Even a 45 in red drum was released at Ramp 44.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, sea mullet and flounder were caught.

The inshore boats had lots of spanish mackerel and bluefish catches.

The offshore boats had good gaffer dolphin fishing, a few black fin tuna and wahoo.  A couple of sailfish were released.
