Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Beautiful weather today. The temperature was in the mid 80’s. Winds were from the west in the morning turning east around noon. Wind speeds were 10-15 early in the morning calming as the day passed.

Fishing from the beach was slow again today. In Avon from there was sea-mullet, and croaker caught from the beach and pier. In Buxton and here in Frisco there was sea-mullet. In Hatteras there was small flounder, spot, and bluefish.

Great fishing inshore today. This morning the speckled trout bit was scattered but picked up in the afternoon. Spanish mackerel were biting great near and inshore today. The red drum were biting great today one boat had 10 citations in the afternoon.

 

Offshore today there was a fair dolphin and black-fin tuna bite. There was also a few sailfish released.
