Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was warm and sunny with light wind.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Out at Cape Point in Buxton there was a nice cobia caught as well as a bluefish blitz late in the afternoon.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet and a pompano was caught.  The Hatteras beaches had pompano, sheepshead and sea mullet reported.

Pictured is Curtis Dennis with a 4 lb 12 oz sheeps head caught on the south beach today.

The inshore boats caught lots of cobia, bluefish and spanish mackerel.   The offshore boats had lots of gaffer dolphin, a few blackfin tuna and tilefish and grouper off the bottom.  One blue marlin was released.
