Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had another warm day with light winds.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Slow fishing along the beaches.  Some bluefish and sea mullet were caught along the Buxton and Frisco beaches.

The inshore boats had cobia, red drum and speckled trout reported.

The offshore boats had excellent dolphin action and amberjack catches.  A blue marlin and a sailfish were released.  Pictured is a nice 172 lb  Big Eye Tuna caught offshore of Hatteras today.

Marlin just go wild for this lure! In testing I could not keep this lure in the water long before an angry blue marlin was trying to make this lure it’s next meal! A great calm water lure that has an aggressive surface action which drives fish crazy. Skirted Length: 380mm / 15” Hook Size: 10/0 – 11/0 Leader Size: 400 – 600lb
