Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was calm and sunny.  The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Today there were plenty of sharks out at Cape Point in Buxton being caught.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some nice pompano catches and a few flounder reported.

The inshore boats caught puppy drum and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound today..

The offshore boats had good blackfin tuna action along with a few dolphin.  The bottom fishing was good with vermilion snapper and trigger fish.  Two sailfish were released.

Today was the fourth day of the 58th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament.  There were 5 blue marlin and 8 sailfish released today.
