Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies, calm winds and much warmer temperatures.  .

Up on the Avon beach sea mullet and bluefish were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and sharks were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton big red drum were released, bluefish on metal were caught and sharks were also reported.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet. pompano and bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach some bluefish, pompano, sea mullet and puppy drum were reported.  Pictured is Patrick with a 1 lb 8 oz pompano caught out on the Hatteras beach at Ramp 55.

Offshore boats had a few dolphin, wahoo, black fin and yellow fin tuna.  The bottom fishing was good with tile fish, snowy grouper and triggerfish reported.  Three blue marlin were released and one was boated.

The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel, bluefish, a few flounder and puppy drum.
