Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

What a beautiful day on Hatteras Island.  We had temperatures in the upper 70’s and winds in the southwesterly direction between 8-13 mph.

Avon Pier had some sea mullet, bluefish and spot today.  Out at Cape Point there were some drum and bluefish.  Frisco had some sea mullet.  Hatteras beach had some keeper flounder, nice sea mullet and pompano.

The inshore boats had good puppy drum fishing today.

The offshore boats came back to the docks with good catches of mahi, some blackfin tuna and king mackerel.

Fishbites Bag O’ Worms

This is an especially good bait for introducing new anglers to the sport since many are skittish about handling real worms. The bloodworm and sandworm scents will catch a wide variety of saltwater species. They’re both available in regular (1/4″ width) and large (3/8″ width) sizes, and they come in both the Fast Acting and Longer Lasting formulas.
