Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had light winds with some humidity.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches there were sea mullet, bluefish, puppy drum and a few pompano caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton for those who choose to walk in the water to get to the Point were catching lots of spanish mackerel and bluefish, along with sea mullet.  Over on the Frisco a few sea mullet were reported.

Inshore boats reported puppy drum, bluefish and gray trout today in the Pamlico Sound.  Spanish mackerel fishing was good outside Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats caught a few dolphin, black fin tuna, yellow fin tuna and some nice catches of tilefish and trigger fish.  There was a blue marlin released today too.
