Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was mostly cloudy with a little bit of sun.  We had rain showers at times.  The temperatures were in the upper 50’s and the winds were variable.
The drum bite at Cape Point is the big talk today.  There were drum of every size caught, several papers to be written  We have a few pictures to share below.  There were also some speckled trout and sea mullet in Avon.  The jetties had some undersized puppy drum and speckled trout.  Pictured below is Brett Compton, Ginger Young and Curtis Compton with their drum from the bite today.  Purty fish!!

The inshore boats had catches of king mackerel and keeper speckled trout, with some throwbacks mixed in.
It was another excellent day catching king mackerels for the offshore fleet.  The blackfin catches were fair and a few dolphin were mixed in.
