Sound: Speckled Trout season is finally open! We’ve heard of some being caught along with Bluefish and Red Drum.

Inshore: Speckled Trout season reopened today! Inshore parties had their fair share of Speckled Trout catches along with Bluefish, Gray Trout, and Red Drum.

Offshore: No report, they stayed at the docks due to wind.

Surf: Reports from the ocean have been scattered all over the island but we’ve heard of Croaker, Sea Mullet, Sharks, Spanish Mackerel, and Spot.

Sound: No report.

Inshore/Nearshore: Between inshore and nearshore boats there were plenty Spanish Mackerel brought to the docks today. Inshore parties also brought in Bluefish and Gray Trout and released some Speckled Trout.

Offshore: More Blackfin Tuna and Dolphins were caught with parties today. A few Sailfish were released as well.

The past few days have been equally as hot as the next. Today’s high was 84 while the low was 75 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 18mph. Currently it’s 82, feels like 88, with SSW winds around 8mph. Tomorrow temps are expected to get into the high 80s with more light to gentle winds. Fishing lately has still been scattered, with most luck north of Avon and down south in Hatteras.
