Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Fog early. High of 72F with winds from the south at 5 to 10 mph.
The puppy drum bite continues. Buxton also had reports of flounder and black drum. Cape Point had a big drum this morning and a few this evening. There was a puppy drum blitz on south beach, near Frisco Pier. Most of the fish were caught on artificial, like Berkley Gulp. There were also some flounder caught. Hatteras had flounder and sea mullet. Pictured below is Nevaeh Willis. He caught his first drum today with his dad. Nevaeh is holding his and his dad’s puppy drum.
There were no inshore charters out today, but there were reports of a few puppy drum caught from folks fun fishing. The offshore boats had good blackfin tuna catches.
