Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we reached a high of 78F.  The winds were out of the west all morning, 5-10 mph till noon time.  Winds switched to the south-west at noon and stayed a steady 10 mph the rest of the day.

Avon had croakers, sea mullet and bluefish today.  Buxton reports bluefish, sea mullet and pompano.  Frisco reports sea mullet and bluefish.  Hatteras reports pompano, sea mullet and bluefish.

The inshore boats had good red drum keepers and releases, along with some cobia today.  The offshore boats had good dolphin, a few wahoo and a few blackfin tuna.  A nice 45lb grouper was caught also.

HICF Raffling Custom Fishing Rod

May 10, 2015 – The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation is raffling off a custom Seeker 30 Class Stand Up White Marlin/Sailfish Rod!  The custom built rod was donated by The Roost Bait and Tackle at Teach’s Lair Marina in Hatteras.  The rod has a custom diamond wrap accented in pink with Fuji guides and a Fuji reel seat and retails for $350.00.

Raffle tickets are $5. The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Day at the Docks HICF Chowder Cook-off. You do not need to be present to win.

Proceeds from this raffle will help Hatteras Island cancer patients pay for medical bills and prescriptions that are not covered by insurance and for travel expenses to and from treatment.
