Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies and calm winds.  The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

Up on the Avon beach puppy drum were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches bluefish and puppy drum were caught.  Over on the Frisco beaches bluefish, flounder, puppy drum and spanish mackerel were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach there were sea mullet reported.

The inshore boats had good puppy drum and bluefish catches today in the Pamlico sound.

The offshore boats caught some dolphin and black fin tuna, lots of wahoo were caught with several citations.  4 sailfish were released today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had mostly cloudy skies.  The winds were from the south-east at 15-20  mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

The fishing was a little better today.  Puppy drum were caught on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches with a few croaker as well.

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and bluefish today in the Pamlico Sound.

There were no offshore boats out today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

Today has been mostly sunny.  The winds were from the north-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 40’s.

Nothing to report today even with the winds dying down a bit except for lots of sharks and some sea mullet around the Buxton beaches and Cape Point in Buxton.

No boats fished inshore or offshore today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was an overcast day today,with a high of 75F.  We had north and northeast winds again today around 5-9 mph.

Buxton had reports of black drum, bluefish and puppy drum.  Cape Point had spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Frisco beach had small pompano and bluefish.  Hatteras reports flounder, pompano, spot, sea mullet, small bluefish and puppy drum.

The inshore boats caught puppy drum and speckled trout.  Here’s a picture of Laura Pitetti with one of her puppy drum caught this evening.

The offshore boats had dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna catches today.  There were also a blue marlin and sailfish release.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was sunny today.  The winds were from the north-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures in the upper 40’s.

With the weather calming this afternoon the blow toads and sea mullet were biting on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.

No boats fishing inshore and one boat fishing offshore today.  They had another real good day of bottom fishing with golden tilefish, snowy grouper and rose bellies.  Below is the rose bellies caught by the “Godspeed” charter boat.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was overcast with real light rain today.  The winds were from the west at 10-20 mph with some gusts to 40 mph.  The temperatures in the upper 40’s.

An early morning blow toad bite was reported on the Hatteras beach and that’s about it.

No boats fishing inshore or offshore today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island. We had another beautiful sunny day with calm winds. Its been nice all week.  The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s. Our sand road at Mirlo Beach is still passable and could be all week with the forecast of light winds and the ocean swell much smaller.

Fishing was slow again today.  There were sharks caught on the Avon beach.  A few puppy drum, sharks and skates were reported on the Buxton beach and out at Cape Point.  On the Frisco beach a few puppy drum, some flounder and sharks were caught.  On the Hatteras beach a few bluefish and plenty of sharks and skates were reported..

Offshore today they caught a few nice yellowfin and blackfin tuna and some amberjacks.
