Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:
The weather in Frisco was nice and sunny today. We had thunderstorms just offshore but they never seemed to affect us. We had north-east winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were around 80 degrees. The Buxton beaches had some croaker, sea mullet and a few puppy drum. The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some good pompano and sea mullet fishing. Capt Doug Martin on the “Hallelujah” charter boat had my father in law and I fishing inshore today. We had excellent gray trout fishing and caught good amounts of bluefish, some tautogs, a triggerfish and some black sea bass, which we had to throw back. The offshore boats had excellent gaffer dolphin fishing and few blackfin tuna. Below the “Little Clam” charter boat with its catch of dolphin, groupers, snapper, triggerfish and tile fish. Bottom fish are some of the best eating fish.

You should never forget to wear your sunscreen. Even on cloudy days the suns rays will still affect you. A good choice would be Solrx Sunscreen. An all waterproof formula to be used on one of Hatteras Islands beaches or while out in the boat.
