Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today the weather was mostly cloudy with periods of sunshine. The rain stayed offshore all day until just after dark. The winds were from the east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.
Fishing today was pretty good, but the current picked up. There were sea mullet, bluefish, blow toads and a few black drum caught around the Frisco pier and over ramp 49. Down on the Hatteras beach just a few blow toads and sea mullet.
No boats fishing inshore today. The few boats that fished offshore today were faced with rough seas, rain and gusty winds which made for a short day. For the short time they fished the yellowfin tunas were biting along with a few dolphin and wahoo. One small mako shark was released.
