Today was partly cloudy with real light rain showers all morning. We had west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s
Today was the first day 56th Annual Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Surf Fishing Tournament. Puppy drum were the high scorers today. One team caught 4 this morning to take the lead. I will post standings as I can get them.
Around the Buxton beaches bluefish, sea mullet and puppy drum were caught. Out at Cape Point real good puppy drum catches again today and more big red drum caught this morning. On the Frisco beach puppy drum and sea mullet were caught. Down on the Hatteras beach puppy drum and flounder were reported.
No inshore or offshore boats fished today.
