Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had another nice and sunny day. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
The Buxton beaches had nice size sea mullet and a few pompano. Out at Cape Point there were spanish mackerel, a few cobia, a few big red drum and sharks reported. The Frisco beach had some sea mullet, bluefish, pompano and puppy drum. Down on the Hatteras beach there were some big drum, sea mullet, bluefish and pompano caught.
The inshore boats had good catches of bluefish and spanish mackerel. Some decent catches of cobia were reported as well.
The offshore boats had a good day of dolphin fishing. A few yellowfin and blackfin tuna were caught along with grouper and a white marlin and a blue marlin were released.

Today we had sunny skies and light winds. The winds were from the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
The Buxton beaches had sea mullet, bluefish and a few pompano. Out at Cape Point there were some spanish mackerel and a few big red drum reported. The Frisco beach report had some sea mullet, bluefish and pompano. Down on the Hatteras beach there were some sea mullet, bluefish and pompano caught.
The inshore boats caught some bluefish and spanish mackerel along with some boats having good catches of cobia. There were some gray trout caught in the Pamlico Sound.
The offshore boats caught a few dolphin, yellowfin tuna and some grouper. A good number of blue marlin were seen with 2 caught and one 393 lb was boated due to being tail wrapped aboard the “Hatteras Fever II” Pictured below.
Over the weekend we had some good catches of sea mullet and pompano by Susan McClanahan using the River Rig.
A nice 35 lb yellowfin tuna was brought back to the dock by Jeff Daugherty.

Today we had another beautiful day with sunny skies and light winds. The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.
The Buxton beaches were the same as yesterday with sea mullet, bluefish and a few pompano caught. Out at Cape Point there some spanish mackerel and bluefish reported. The Frisco beach report had some sea mullet, bluefish, a few flounder, sheepshead and pompano. Down on the Hatteras beach there were some sea mullet and a couple decent size cobia caught.
The inshore boats had some decent catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish with a good amount of cobia caught. The picture below is a 83 lb cobia caught aboard the ‘Godspeed” charter boat today.
The offshore boats had fair dolphin fishing and a few yellowfin tuna with a white marlin and a blue marlin released.

Today we had a beautiful day with sunny skies and light winds. The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.
The Buxton beaches had sea mullet, bluefish and a few pompano were caught. Out at Cape Point there was a few big red drum released late last night. The Frisco beach report had some sea mullet, bluefish and pompano. Down on the Hatteras beach the big red drum were caught along with a cobia around 30 lbs and some sea mullet, bluefish and a few flounder.
The inshore boats had good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish with some cobia caught in smaller numbers than the past few days.
Today the better offshore fishing was up to the east with good yellowfin tuna and dolphin action. A nice grouper was caught jigging and a few sailfish were released. A nice yellowfin tuna aboard the “Native Son” charter boat pictured below.
