Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was nice and sunny with light winds. We had south winds light and variable today and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
Up on the Avon beach there were some spanish mackerel and sea mullet reported. Around the Buxton beaches the spanish mackerel, pompano and sea mullet bite was decent. Over on the Frisco beach there were just a few sea mullet reported. The Hatteras beach report consisted of spanish mackerel and sea mullet.
Inshore boats had a excellent day of spansih mackerel fishing. A few puppy drum and gray trout were reported in the Pamlico Sound.
The offshore fleet had limits of dolphin, mostly bailer size. A few wahoo and yellow fin tuna were also caught. Three white marlin, two sailfish and a blue marlin were released today. The picture below is from the charter boat “Godspeed” with their sailfish release today.
