Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies. The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 90’s
Today on the Buxton beaches and at the lighthouse jetties there were sea mullet and sheepshead caught. Out at Cape Point a few spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on lures. On the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were caught. The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, sea mullet, flounder and pompano reported.
The inshore boats had another day of real good speckled trout fishing with excellent puppy drum fishing as well in the Pamlico Sound. The picture below was from late yesterday afternoon with Dean Taguwa catching one of several puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.
The spanish mackerel and bleufish were biting along the beaches near shore pretty good too. The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo catches with a couple of sailfish released. The picture below is Kai Conner with his dolphin (mahi mahi) that he caught today while fishing offshore. Pretty work Kai!!!
