Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was mostly cloudy with rain showers most of the day. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
On the Buxton beach only some sea mullet were reported. Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet, sheepshead and pompano were reported. The Hatteras beach had croaker spot and sea mullet caught.
The inshore boats had good speckled trout catches and a few cobia caught n the Pamlico Sound today. The offshore fishing was pretty good for the weather being not so good. Good catches of blackfin tuna, a few dolphin and king mackerel were reported. There were 2 white marlin released today.
Day 2 of 3 fishing days in the 9th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam offshore fishing tournament had 3 blue marlin, 4 white marlin released and a sailfish released today. Click the link to keep track of hook ups and releases and current standings.
