Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was a really nice day. We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.
This morning at 8 am was the start of the 4 Plus 24hr Surf Fishing Tournament. We hope all fisherman are having fun and are catching some fish which they seem to be doing. We have a better sign of bluefish showing up on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches. The Frisco beach had catches of blowtoads and sea mullet and the Hatteras beach and sea mullet and puppy drum.
No boats fishing inshore. Today the offshore boats had good catches of blackfin tuna, a few yellowfin tuna, some dolphin, wahoo and amberjack. One sailfish was released and one mako shark was also caught. The mako shark is pictured below from the “Bite Me” charter boat.
